|Description||This is an excellent example of an early post WWI Weimar era undated Simson & Co. Suhl Police Luger pistol with holster. They were issued to both the Weimar Military and Police units up through the late 1920s before Hitler came into power and took over the Simson Company. The chamber is undated and the front toggle is marked "SIMSON & Co./SUHL". The right side of the barrel extension has several small Eagle 6, 81 and 67 acceptance/firing proofs along with the small Simson test Eagle acceptance proof. It has the military style serial number placement with the full serial number on the major components with the last two digits on the small parts with the Eagle/6 Simson acceptance proof on many if not all of the small parts. It has the standard "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" safety and extractor markings. It is fitted with standard checkered walnut grips. It is complete with two magazines; one a nickel plated magazine with the aluminum base marked "Eagle 6/361/a/+/1" and the other one is a Haenel Schmeisser patent marked magazine body with aluminum base stamped "361" under "3". It is complete with an original early brown leather police style holster that is unmarked except for the following written in ink: "HAESCHE 31275218".
|Condition||Excellent with 98% of the original blue finish with wear on the side plate hump and front edge of the muzzle area. The various small parts retain 70% of their straw colors overall. The grips are both excellent with nice checkering on both sides, with minimal handling marks. The holster is also excellent with excellent color overall with minor handling marks.|
