Through our unparalleled commitment to our motto
"We Believe in Presentation
we have emerged as the #1 firearms auction house in the world.
Our new
86,000 sq. ft. state of the art facility is second-to-none.
Proper Presentation is Producing the Finest Catalog in the Industry
In that, we showcase our clients items with as large a photograph as possible. We always include a detailed description and when appropriate, a close-up of the item to show special features or to just show the condition. Our catalogs photograph all firearms and other items and it's normal for our catalogs to have in excess of 7000 photographs. It is a great reference for collectible guns.
Proper Presentation is Extensive Advertising
This includes our 12 page color flyer that is sent out to over 65,000 people who have expressed interest in firearms.  full page ads and often 2-page ads are placed in over 40 numerous national, international and local publications including the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun, and numerous firearms and antique publications. On site gun show attendance, and direct mail at first class rates to insure up-to-date address information.
Proper Presentation is Display and Care of our Clients Items
Items that are in our care before, during and after auction. All firearms are displayed and stored in padded racks or padded drawers for their protection. We also have a bank type vault for secure storage.  The proper display at auction in a secure environment is also a priority of Rock Island Auction Company.
Proper Presentation is Owning our Own Auction Facility
Our auctions are conducted on site secured by a state-of-the-art alarm system. We believe an off-site auction at a hotel or other venue is absolutely unacceptable as this creates serious problems with security but most importantly, requires extensive excess handling of the firearms which will undoubtedly result in nicks and dings. Rock Island Auction Company has made the commitment to provide a state-of-the-art auction facility that reduces the number of times an item is handled and provides a secure and controlled environment.
Proper Presentation is Accessibility of Each Potential Buyer to See Each Item
However, all viewing must be controlled and securely supervised. Our new facility allows for proper display of items yet attendant controlled locked cabinets provide that balance of security and accessibility while properly displaying the item.
Proper Presentation Results in Our Clients Items Being Seen by the Widest Array of Possible Buyers
Everything Rock Island Auction Company puts towards proper presentation benefits both buyers and sellers. A person presented with ample honest information in a comfortable setting provides for a well-informed buyer and we believe this is the key to reaching top dollar for our clients.
