Clark Ehlers
Firearms Specialist

Clark is a noted collector and expert on sporting guns, single shot and Schuetzen rifles. A two-time National Champion in the Cast Bullet Association.  He is a rifle shooting competitor and builds custom Schuetzen rifles.  In addition, he is a three-time International Single Shot Association long range pistol champion. Clark is a life-time member of the National Rifle Association and Davenport Shooting Association and a member of International Single Shot Association and American Single Shot Rifle Association.  He retired from the Rock Island Arsenal after 30 years with the Head Quarters Weapons & Armament Command as a Supply Systems Analyst and Major Items Program Manager. Clark is our senior firearms specialist on staff.

Brian Schmidt
Firearms Specialist

A collector for over 30 years, specializing in U.S. and European Military rifles and handguns with a special interest in Sniper Rifles of all countries. A competitive High Power rifle and cowboy action shooter Brian has been employed by the Rock Island Arsenal for 25 years as the Contracting Officer for the Department of Army, 16 years as Branch Chief responsible for all Small Arms contracting.

Jim Krup
Firearms Specialist

A lifetime resident of the Quad Cities, Jim retired from the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Department in January 2004 after 26 years of service.  Not ready to sit idle he began his second career with Rock Island Auction Company in April of 2004.  His interest in the auction business and adeptness for describing firearms is evident in all aspects of his work at Rock Island.  It is not uncommon to find Jim representing Rock Island Auction Company at a show or on the phone prior to an auction as he truly enjoys interacting with the firearms collecting fraternity.

Tom Jackson
Firearms Specialist

Employed as Senior Attorney here locally with the Rock Island Arsenal in the Joint Munitions Command division. His passion and vast knowledge of the Civil War has kept him close to Rock Island Auction Company for years now describing firearms, swords and related material from this historic time. Tom himself is an avid collector of U.S. Martial arms.
