Description:This is an excellent example of a WWII British MKII STEN submachine gun, that has been assembled using one of the excellent Wilson Arms company's new Draw Over Mandrel receiver tubes. These SMGs were the workhorse of the British and United Kingdom forces through out WWII to include many US, and Free French Resistance forces as well as Allied paratroopers and special operations units. They were produced in several configurations with the MKII being the most widely used and remained in service with the British, Canadian, Aussie and Indian Armies well into the 1970s until they were replaced by the Sterling SMG. They operate in a simple blow-back manner and can be fired in both a semi-automatic and fully automatic mode. These SMGs were originally produced by two primary factories, BSA Shirley, the Royal Ordnance factory at Fazakerley, and also in Canada. This MKII Sten example has a mix of original WWII parts, that are fully proofed and marked that was assembled on a new manufactured, correct DOM steel tubing. The top of the magazine well is marked "STEN MKII" with the underside marked with "JL & Com Ltd. /M/145 over the British broad arrow proof. This example has the desirable wire loop style stock and is complete with one original WWII 30 round stick magazine. NOTE: This is a fully transferable, fully automatic NFA Class III Firearm. Prior to bidding, check your state and/or local laws as to whether or not you may own this weapon.
Condition:Refurbished with 99% of the current light gray GI style parkerized finish overall, with clear sharp markings. This is an excellent chance to buy a relatively inexpensive SMG, with original WWII British origins that is fun and cheap to shoot (with the 9mm ammunition) with lots of accessories and parts available on the commercial market.
