| Description: | Manufactured in 1900 with the takedown frame. Barrel is fitted with fixed front blade sight and adjustable rear sight. Marked with the standard two line address on the top barrel flat ahead of the rear sight and "22 SHORT" at the breech with the serial number on the lower tang. Blue barrel and magazine with casehardened frame, hammer, trigger guard and buttplate. Mounted with a plain straight grip stock with a steel crescent buttplate and 12 groove rounded forearm. | ||
| Condition: | Fine. The barrel and magazine tube retain 75% original blue finish with scattered thinning, edge wear and numerous minor scratches on the barrel. The bolt retains 95% original blue finish with a small crude "GP" scratched into the top. The receiver retains 30% original case colors with a smooth brownish patina on the balance. The trigger guard and buttplate have a gray patina with some minor pitting on the heel of the buttplate. The wood is also fine with a number of minor pressure dents and scratches on the stock. The markings are clear. The action is excellent. | ||
