Condition Rating:
Description:This revolver has a factory letter confirming the serial number and stating the caliber as .45/c, with the barrel length 5 1/2", the finish as blue, the stocks as not listed, and that it shipped on November 2, 1886 to San Francisco, California. It subsequently was converted to target configuration in the 1920s-1930s by King, a Colt authorized custom shop. The hammer is a wide checkered target style with three holes, the trigger is standard, and it has been re-barreled for .38 special. This revolver has textured horn grips with brass bullseye medallions.
Condition:Good as custom converted and refinished. 30% of the custom blue finish remains with moderate muzzle, ejector shroud, grip strap, and cylinder wear. There are a few dings overall. The grips are very good. Front sight plastic is chipped and the mirror is moderately scratched. Mechanically needs work as it does not have half cock capabilities.
