| Description: | The lock plate is marked "Ketland/& Co." The brass barrel is stamped "LONDON" on the top flat and the flats have a light engraving and the upper left flat has two British proofs. The barrel has a 1 1/4 inch opening and a 6 inch spring bayonet mounted on the underside. Brass furniture with a light engraving on the side plate and buttplate tang, a floral blossom on the trigger guard and a pineapple finial trigger guard. The left side of the barrel has brass ramrod pipes which hold an iron ramrod. The straight grip stock has a flat buttplate. | ||
| Condition: | Good. The brass has an attractive aged "mustard colored" patina. The remaining metal surfaces have a smooth dark patina. The bayonet has a broken release mechanism and some minor pitting. The undersized, period refinished stock is about good with repairs and some scattered minor handling. Mechanically fine. | ||
