The first Colt revolver manufactured for metallic cartridges, approximately 7000 were manufactured in 1872 and 1873. The barrel has been shortened to it's present length and the metal has been cleaned bright. Standard markings and features. No visible cylinder scene. A crude "WH" has been carved on the right side grip.
