Patterned after the U.S. 1840 cavalry sword, and attributed by the consignor as a "Dog River" Confederate sword. 40 1/2" OAL, 35" blade with a flat spine, single fullers and no markings, brass two-branch guard, wood grip (wrap absent) with a single wire strand. Fittings are loose, fair overall.
