German silver blade front and adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sights on the barrel, which is marked with the standard two line address ahead of and "40-82 WCF" behind the rear sight. Casehardened receiver, with the early one line "-Model 1886-" marking on the upper tang and the patent dates and serial number behind the trigger. Smooth straight grip stock with a full magazine, metal forearm cap, and a smooth, curved butt.
