The top of the receiver is marked with the Johnson patent numbers in five lines followed by "CAL. 30-06-SEMI-AUTO/"JOHNSON AUTOMATICS"/MODEL OF 1941/MADE IN PROVIDENCE , R.I., U.S.A." in four lines over the serial number "6973". The right rear of the receiver is stamped with a five-pointed star above "CRANSTON/ARMS/CO." in an inverted triangle. The receiver is fitted with tangent rear sight and is correctly graduated in meters. The barrel is marked ".30-06/41" on the front face of the collar and "J.A./30-06" over the rear of the barrel. The bright finished bolt is marked with the number, B7141 and the barrel lug is numbered "508E". It has the standard walnut stock and forend. The distinctive, cruciform socket bayonet has a dark blue/parkerized finish and is missing the leather scabbard.

Rating Definition:

Refinished overall with most of the nicely reblued finish still showing nice clear sharp markings overall. The stock and forend are both in excellent condition showing some scratches and handling marks with an old red rubber recoil pad added on the end of the stock. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is in excellent condition.
