Description:

1) Two cavity (conical, round) .36 caliber iron bullet mold with sprue cutter. Unmarked, but consignor states that it was manufactured by Metropolitan. 2) Two cavity (rebated conical, round) .36 caliber iron bullet mold with sprue cutter. Unmarked, but consignor states that it is an early example of a Whitney manufactured mold. 3) Two cavity (round only) .42 caliber iron bullet mold with sprue cutter. Unmarked, but consignor states that is was manufactured by Plant. 4) Two cavity (rebated conical, round) .36 caliber iron bullet mold with sprue cutter. "N.J." marked on the bottom, likely manufactured by Whitney.

Rating Definition:

1) Fine, retaining approximately 60% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. 2) Fine, retaining about 70% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray-brown. 3) Very fine, retaining approximately 98% original blue finish with some gray on the high edges and some minor pitting contained to the right handle. 4) Good, having a bright gray patina.
