Receiver manufactured in March 1944, replacement "SA" marked and "2 63" dated barrel with bright chamber ring, World War II era U.S. Springfield Armory pattern wide base gas cylinder, "-12SA/S-06<>" marked bolt, relief cut "9 SA" flat-side operating rod, "12" follower, along with a "-14-SA" trigger housing with "-5 SA" hammer and "SA-11" safety. Fitted with a pair of walnut handguards and a walnut stock with a U.S. Anniston Army Depot "A4" rebuild stamp on the left of the butt and uncircled "P" firing proof on the grip.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, retaining much of the finish with dried grease, some scattered light patches of spotting/oxidation, some a few minor patches of pitting under the finish, minor cycling wear, and scattered minor handling marks. The stock is fine as arsenal sanded and re-oiled with some scattered minor scuffs and an arsenal brass pin repaired crack in the forend. Mechanically excellent.
