This attractive, likely late 19th century, air pistol comes in a wooden case marked "PISTOLET FIGARO". The pistol itself is marked "Brevet s.g.d.g." (Patented without government guarantee) on the left side of the frame and "PATENT" on the right. There are no other visible marks. It has fixed post front and notch rear sights and a type bolt action. The integral grips are checkered and there is scroll work designs engraved behind and above the trigger. The inside of the case has purple velvet lining, a block holding six darts, and a "BIMOCO/DIABOLO" tin of pellets.
Very fine. The pistol retains 97% plus of the original nickel plating with some faint specks of pitting and some overall handling/storage marks. The case is in good condition with the lid heavily warped and the left side damaged.
