Manufactured in 1937. The table on page 93 of "The Ithaca Gun Company: From the Beginning" by Snyder lists approximately 790 New Ithaca Field Grade shotguns produced in .410 bore. Single brass bead sight, 3 inch chambers, single extractor, and improved modified/full chokes. The barrel, frame, and forearm hardware have matching serial numbers, and the frame features light scalloped border engraving with punch-dot matting forward of the break lever. Dual triggers, automatic tang mounted safety and serrated hard rubber buttplate. Stock measurements: drop at comb 1 1/2 inch; drop at heel 2 5/8 inch; length of pull 14 inches.
