|Description||This is a very fine example of a pre-war Japanese Baby Nambu pistol and was manufactured by the Tokyo Artillery Arsenal in Koishikawa, Tokyo between 1903 and 1928. There were 6,000 produced. The top of the chamber area bears the four intertwined cannon balls of the Tokyo Arsenal and the right side of the receiver has the Japanese Kanji markings over the serial number. It has matching numbers on the bolt, cocking piece, grips, magazine and firing pin guide. The firing pin is unnumbered. The magazine has a nickel plated body with an aluminum base that is correctly numbered on the rear of the magazine with serial number "3328."
|Condition||Very fine with 85% plus of the blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear overall with some light brown freckling mixed with some very light areas of oxidation on the grip straps, left rear side of the barrel and front edge of the recoil spring housing. The smaller parts retain 30% of their straw colors mostly in the protected areas. The grips are in excellent condition with nice distinct checkering overall showing only minor wear across the tops of the checkering. A very nice looking all original, matching baby Nambu pistol.|
