Colt's popular "New Deringer" was manufactured from 1875 until 1912 and proved to be the most popular of Colt's .41 rimfire pocket pistols. This example has the Rampant Colt stamp on the left side of the frame and the "crown/GP" and "crown/V" proofs on the bottom of the barrel that identify it as one of those sold through Colt's London Agency. The barrel also has the standard round blade front sight and the large italic "-COLT-" marking on top. The left side of the frame under the grips has the serial number and "EE." The right grip panel and bottom of the barrel are also numbered to the gun.
