Unsigned and manufactured circa 1830. Blued octagonal barrel with bead front sight and inlaid with two silver bands towards the breech, breech and tang engraved with a spray of scrollwork, flat lock engraved with foliage, scrollwork and a rabbit, 11 ½ inch walnut full stock with checkered grip and forend, raised cheekpiece carved with a spray of foliage beneath, wrist inlet for an escutcheon (missing), the heel of the najked butt numbered "1781", wood pistol grip trigger guard, trigger plate with foliate engraved finial, sling mounts, green canvas sling (possibly original), and original horn tipped wooden ramrod.
