U.S. Springfield Model 1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Pennsylvania Markings

Manufactured in 1914. Blade and flat top notch sights, the proper military markings on the slide and frame, the two-block patent/address markings on the slide, a long smooth trigger, short grip safety, smooth back strap, correct Springfield production unmarked folded-base magazine, and a Springfield "S/P" marked barrel with "C3838-4/D4" on the left side of the chamber. The left grip panel is marked "2B/PA." near the top screw and "PENNA" near the bottom; while not documented, it may have been an issued or private purchase sidearm for a member of the Pennsylvania State Guard, established in WWII as a substitute for the then-Federalized National Guard.

ConditionVery good, with 30% plus of the original blue finish, showing a mixed gray and brown patina overall, scattered light dents and spotting, edge wear, and a takedown line around the slide stop. The grips are fair, with some dents, chips and flat spots. Mechanically excellent.
