With blacked barrels each engraved with a band of foliage at the breech end. Concave rib with bead front sight, signed "ALEX HENRY & CO. 22 FREDERICK ST. EDINBURGH. INCORPORATED WITH ALEX MARTIN. GLASGOW & ABERDEEN" and engraved with a spray of scrollwork at the breech end. Border and scroll engraved casehardened treble grip action signed "ALEX. HENRY & CO." on each side within a ribbon, with automatic safety with gold inlaid "SAFE" and with blued floor plate and top lever. Casehardened trigger plate and blued trigger guard each engraved en suite. Figured 15 1/4 inch crossover stock including 3/4 inch leather covered recoil pad, and with checkered grip and forearm. The stock swept for right shoulder and left eye, and the upper tang, trigger plate and trigger guard are fully swept with the stock. The underside of the butt is inset with a vacant silver escutcheon. Weight: 6 lbs. 2 oz., Birmingham nitro reproof marks, 2 3/4 inch chambers (extended since reproof), bored approx. 1/4 and 5/8 choke, barrel dimensions: right proved at .732, measuring .733, minimum wall thickness 26; left proved at .732, measuring .733, minimum wall thickness 22. In recent fitted leather case lined in green baize, with some cleaning accessories and a detached Alex Henry & Co. leather trade label with gilt lettering.

Professionally refinished throughout. The reblacked barrels with softened engraving to the breech ends and to the rib signature. Action retaining faded traces of original casehardened finish, engraving clear. The top lever, floor plate and trigger guard have been reblued. The stock has age related storage and handling marks, bruises and scratches, checkering is crisp. The leather covered recoil pad has some minor wear to toe and edges. Mechanically excellent. Case in very good condition with little signs of use.
