This is a stunning example of an Alvin White engraved and gold and silver inlaid Model 94 XTR Big Bore rifle. There is a 1 inch wedge of floral scroll engraving on each side of the muzzle end of the barrel and one on top of the breech end of the barrel. There is a thin gold and silver band around the muzzle and breech ends of the barrel and gold wire decoration on each barrel band as well as an engraved scallop and dot border. The receiver, upper tang, and forward sides of the lever are engraved with floral scroll designs with gold wire accents. The left side of the receiver has a wooded scene with two gold inlaid dogs attacking a gold inlaid bear, and the right side a gold mountain lion and deer. The sides of the hammer are engraved with a scallop and dot border with gold wire inlay accents, and the serial number on the bottom of the receiver is gold inlaid. The bottom of the lever assembly plate has a fancy fleur-de-lis design in gold and silver inlay and is engraved "ENGRAVED FOR/WINCHESTER/BY A.A. WHITE". The left rear of the barrel has the standard markings and the barrel is equipped with a ramped blade front sight and the rear sight slot has a filler block. British proofs on the underside of the receiver and left side of the barrel. Mounted with extra fancy walnut forearm and straight grip stock with fancy bordered fleur-de-lis checkering, a solid Winchester recoil pad, sling swivel stud and gold initial oval inscribed "D/H/P". Complete in a Huey Gun Case oak and leather case with brass hardware, leather corner protectors, handle and straps and maroon lining. In the case are two wooden handled screwdrivers, brass and wooden handled cleaning rod, brass oiler, leather sling, hood for the front sight and a Williams receiver peep sight. The brass oval plate on the lid is inscribed "WINCHESTER/375 Caliber/MODEL 94 BIG BORE".
