This rifle was manufactured in 1904 and is chambered in the comparably scarce .25-35 W.C.F. cartridge, a smaller caliber and lower recoil small to medium game cartridge based on and released alongside the .30-30 Winchester in 1895 as one of America's first smokeless sporting rifle cartridges. The carbine features a pinned brass blade front sight, three-leaf rear express sight with sight lines, the two-line address and patent marking on top between the rear sight and barrel band, "25-35/W.C.F." on top at the breech, a saddle ring on the left side of the frame, the three-line model and patent marking on the upper tang, and standard carbine stock and forearm.

Excellent overall with 90% plus original finish, factory oiled finish on the excellent wood, evidence of light spotting, 75% original nitre blue on, and light handling and storage wear. Case colors are vivid and remain 95% intact. Mechanically excellent.
