Description:

This "Queen Anne Pattern" pistol was originally manufactured as a flintlock in the 18th century by David Collumbell and was converted in the 19th century. It is marked with "LONDON" on top at the breech, "COLLUMBELL," London proof, view, and foreigner marks along with a "1" at the breech; and scroll and border engraving. The stock has silver furniture with martial designs on the side plate and wrist escutcheon and a classic grotesque mask with unclear hallmarks.

Rating Definition:

Very good with mottled gray patina on the iron, attractive natural aged patina on the silver, crisp engraving and designs, and mild overall wear. The stock is fair and has some gaps at the breech, cracks by the breech tang, and minor scratches and dings. Mechanically fine.
