Manufactured in 1904. Standard Pre-war commercial Broomhandle Mauser with the three line "WAFFENFABRIK/MAUSER/OBERNDORF a/N" marking on the top of the chamber area with "VON LENGERKE/& DETMOLD/NEW-YORK" marked in the center milled panel area on the left side and "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER/OBERNDORF A NECKAR" on the right side. Von Lengerke & Detmold were New York importers and dealers active in the early 20th Century. The left flat of the barrel and top of the bolt are marked with "crown/crown/U" proofs. Fitted with 33-groove serrated grips with matching numbers on the interior.

Very fine, retains 75% faded original blue finish and nitre blue with the balance thinning to a smooth grey patina, primarily on the muzzle, high spots, and grip straps. The grips are also very fine with some scattered light handling marks and crisp grooves. Mechanically excellent.
