Description:

The New Model 3 dominated target competitions in the late 1800s, and are found in the serial number range below 4,333. Of the 4,333 target variations manufactured, 2,930 were chambered in .32-44 caliber. The included factory letter confirms the 6 1/2 inch barrel , blue finish and wood grips. The revolver was shipped on May 28, 1894 and delivered to Scott & Sons, London, England. British proofs are stamped on the left side of the barrel, right side of the frame and in each cylinder flute. Matching serial numbers are on the butt, cylinder, barrel and barrel latch.

Rating Definition:

Fine, retaining 75% plus original blue finish with thinning to brown on the balance. 80% original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger guard. The grips are also fine with a couple notches at the bottom, some minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
