Manufactured from 1868-75. The frame and cylinder flats are decorated with a broad leaf floral scroll with a punch dot background. The sides of the barrel have a three diamond design with a punch dot background flanked by floral scroll with a punch dot background. The barrel lug is decorated with a zigzag and geometric design, and the barrel address has a scallop border. All silver plated and smooth grips. The revolver comes in a period wooden case with a three compartment brown velvet lined interior. There is also a vintage 50 count box of original UMC .32 caliber short cartridges in the original box
Very good plus. The revolver retains 20% nickel plated finish with wear on the front strap and ejector rod, and some darkening with age. The grips are very fine with a couple of minor age cracks around the screw escutcheon and a pleasant mellow color. The markings and engraving are clear. The action is fine. The case is good with some old deep scratches in the lid, a moderate chip on the front edge of the lid, along with a few minor scratches overall. The lining has faded and shows some fraying, absent material and some contact wear. The ammunition box has a detached end, but is otherwise good.
