Mid 19th century pistol from the shop of Anton Burckhardt of Weimar, Thuringia, with a swamped octagon barrel with German silver blade front sight, "ANTON BURCKHARDT IN WEIMAR" inlaid on top, and casehardened breech. The standing breech has a screw adjustable notch rear sight. The lock is signed "AN: BURCKHARDT/IN WEIMAR" and has floral and fish engraving on the hammer. It is equipped with an adjustable single set trigger. The furniture is German silver and includes a finger spur trigger guard. Fine overall with light original case colors on the lock, some original brown on the underside of the barrel, mostly mottled gray and brown patina on the visible iron surfaces along with some spots of mild pitting, aged patina on the German silver furniture, a few pins absent from the stock, and mild scratches and dings. Mechanically fine.
