Only a few of these were made before it became the Model 24 in 1957. This revolver was manufactured circa 1954. Built on the five screw N frame and equipped with Patridge front sight and a micrometer click rear sight. This revolver features a casehardened checkered hammer and serrated trigger, six round fluted cylinder, and checkered diamond grips with S&W medallions. The dark maroon two piece box is renumbered to the gun and has a white label with the 45 caliber over stamped 44 in black ink.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, 99% plus original finish with only a few faint scratches on the barrel and a faint drag line on the cylinder. The grips are also excellent with only very faint handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The box is excellent.
