Description:

Manufacturing began in 1870 and produced until 1912. This early 20th century produced pair are both of the Second Type, featuring the sloped hammers and serial numbers only 24 digits apart. Both have the standard italic Colt marking on top of the barrel and small British proofs on the bottom, with the serial numbers marked on the left side of the grip frames. The left side of the frame on both pistols is marked "41CAL" and "C" with a Rampant Colt. The grips on both are hand numbered on the inside of both panels to match their respective guns. Includes an oak case with Colt London Agency interior label fitted for both guns, a cleaning rod, key, and .41 RF.

Rating Definition:

Fine, retains 70% of the original nickel finish with numerous scattered dings, some scattered patches of light flaking, and very light surface pitting. The grips are also fine with some scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with some mild wear and crazing.

Rating Definition:

Very good, retains 70% plus of the original nickel finish with some scattered patches light flaking and dark surface pitting. The grips are very good with a couple short minor age cracks in the butt of the left panel, and otherwise minimal handling evidence. Mechanically excellent.
