Manufactured in 1929 according to the Winchester Firearms Collectors Association. This special order rifle features an unusual combination of globe front and Marbles flip up rear notch sights, and a Marbles flip up rear peep sight on the upper tang. With standard barrel markings, Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, Third Model receiver with exposed locking lugs, and matching numbers on the receiver and lower tang. Short 12 groove slide handle and special order smooth pistol grip stock with Winchester hard rubber grip cap, and blue steel crescent buttplate. The left side of the lower tang, end of the buttstock, and inside of the buttplate are stamped with the special order assembly number "45".

Very fine with 90% bright original blue finish, some mild edge wear and scattered specks of surface oxidation. The wood is also very fine with small dings throughout, and some flaking blue on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
