Manufactured in 1958. Standard markings and features. Matching serial numbers on the frame, triggerguard, backstrap, and inside the grip panels. The assembly number "480" is marked on the front cylinder face and inside the loading gate. This revolver is pictured on page 108 of Don Wilkerson's "Colt Single-Action Revolver Handbook 1955-1975", a copy of which is included, and is noted as being shipped March 5, 1958 and further states there are only three revolvers in this caliber with lower serial numbers. Also included is an unmarked Colt "stagecoach" box. Provenance: The Don and Carol Wilkerson Collection
Very fine, retaining 95% original blue finish and 97% original case colors with scattered handling marks, slight muzzle wear, light spotting on the frame, and a cylinder drag line. The grips are excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very fine.
