Description:
Manufactured in 1942. Single nickel bead sight, Winchester counterbored smooth bore barrel, Winchester "WP" proofs on barrel and correct top grooved receiver at the breech, "W/W" stamped ahead of the trigger guard, matching numbers on the receiver and trigger guard assembly, and smooth trigger. Walnut 17 groove forend and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered blue steel buttplate.
Rating Definition:
Excellent, retains 90% plus of the original blue finish with some slight thinning on the forward portion of the barrel and muzzle revealing a smooth grey patina. The wood is very fine with some scattered minor chips and handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
