These guns where built as part of a limited run of 125 Express models and 25 Model 37s. It is believed that neither entire
run was completed due to the immense amount of work put into hand fitting every gun, making these already rare guns potentially much rarer
yet. Even more so that these guns both appear to be the first in the production runs both numbered “001/...” Blued barrel with white blade front
sight, three position rear sight marked “50”, “100”, and “200”, standard German proofs, and “CAL. 416 Rigby” to the left of the rear sight. The barrel displays three gold bands
(one at the muzzle and two toward the breech) with beautifully executed gold inlaid “125 JAHRE HEYM” flanked by scrolls and a pair of fluer-de-lis. There are another pair of gold
bands at the muzzle end of the action and one more on the bolt which also shows an exquisite gold inlaid five pointed design on the knurled bolt handle. The floorplate had a gold
inlaid Heym logo with line borders extending to the triggerguard. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered stock with contrasting forend, engraved recoil bolt, engraved and gold inlaid trapdoor
gripcap containing an extra firing pin, cheekpiece, and red rubber recoil pad. Includes a mounted Swarovski Habicht 1.25-4x24mm scope and a leather bound commemorative case that houses the set. Length of pull 14 7/16 inches. Weight including scope 11 lbs 11 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue and gold finishes, limited handling evidence, slight plum coloration to the triggerguard, a few light marks in the wood, and sharp checkering on the stock. The case is very fine. The scope optics are excellent. Mechanically excellent.
