Exceptional Texas Shipped Pre-World War II Colt Government Model National Match Semi- Automatic Pistol with Factory Letter - Serial no. C164059, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue
finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1932. Round blade front and fixed square notch rear sights, two- line address and patent marking on the left side of the matching numbered slide, “NATIONAL MATCH”
nomenclature and caliber marking on the right followed by the Rampant Colt logo, standard factory inspection marks on the frame, short, checkered milled trigger, checkered slide catch, magazine catch, thumb safety, wide spur hammer, and arched mainspring housing.
The barrel has a polished chamber and circled “M.B.” on the lug. Fitted with correct checkered grips and a two-tone blue magazine marked “COLT/45 AUTO” on the base. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration (grips not listed) as well as shipment to Wolf & Klar Wholesale Hardware in Fort Worth, Texas on 22 September 1932.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original blue finish with minor muzzle edge wear, some scattered light handling marks, and a very faint takedown mark. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered very light blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 6,000 - 8,000

Outstanding Pre-World War II Colt Super .38 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Original Box - Serial no. 18713, 38 super auto cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1935 these Super .38 pistols were first shown to the public at the August 1928 Camp Perry National Matches, and were available for purchase by the start of 1929. The left side of the matching numbered slide is marked with the two-line address and patent dates while the right side bears the caliber marking along with the Rampant Colt. The serial number is on the right of the frame, the left of the trigger guard is marked “X” over “VP”, and the right of the trigger guard is marked “60”. The barrel is marked “COLT SUPER 38 AUTO” on the bottom left and has a polished chamber. Fitted with blade and notch rear sights, wide checkered hammer, long grip safety, arched checkered mainspring housing, checkered walnut grips, and a two-tone .38 Super Auto magazine. Includes the original Colt maroon box. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 98% plus of the original high polish blue finish with only the slightest edge wear, and a few light handling/takedown marks. The grips are also excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with some mild wear and a couple tape repairs on the lid corners.
