Superb Robert P. Runge Signed, Master Factory Engraved and Gold Inlaid Remington Model 760F Premier Grade Slide Action Rifle - Serial no. 7496182, 30-06 cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Produced in the Remington Custom Shop,
a Premier Grade firearm starts with a full set of fresh components that are then hand-fitted and assembled by a master gunsmith, subjected to engraving and embellishment representing up to two weeks of a skilled engraver’s labor, and finished off
with a set of top quality hardwood furniture. Finely cut scroll engraving on the frame with the model markings hand-engraved and each side showing three animals in gold.
The left side is signed “RPR 75” (Robert P. Runge, 1975). Extra-fancy checkered walnut pistol grip stock, hard rubber Remington grip cap, “J*H*S*” inscribed initial panel and plastic Remington buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent with 99% plus original blue finish and a few light handling marks overall. A small patch of copper color is present on the underbelly of the running deer. Otherwise, the inlays are all finely executed, and the engraving is sharp and detailed. The wood is also excellent with a few light handling marks, sharp checkering, and attractive color and grain. Mechanically excellent.

engraved and each side showing three animals in gold. The left side has the single initial “R”, possibly indicating Remington Master Engraver Robert Runge. Extra-fancy
checkered walnut pistol grip stock, hard rubber Remington grip cap, an unmarked initial panel and plastic Remington buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent with 99% plus original blue finish showing a few light handling marks overall. The engraving is all sharply executed with a tiny amount of wear on the elk antlers and fine detail in the inlays overall. The stock is excellent with a few minor surface scuffs, sharp checkering and excellent grain. Mechanically excellent.
