Desirable Scarce Fabrique Nationale CAL Semi- Automatic Rifle - Serial no. FN11606, 223 Rem cal., 18 inch round bbl., black finish, synthetic stock. Manufactured between 1966 and 1975, the CAL (Carabine Automatique Légère) was designed to be both more cost effective and simpler than the widely
successful FAL rifle. To achieve this, FN moved away from precision machined components and used cast or stamped parts wherever possible. The action uses a rotating bolt system, unlike the tipping bolt of the FAL. While not commercially successful, its development did lead to the design of the FNC. Post front and two leaf windage adjustable rear peep sights, stamped lower receiver with two position (S/1) fire control group, standard markings on
the upper receiver, ventilated, stamped sheet metal handguard, grooved forearm, smooth grip, and fixed buttstock with solid rubber recoil pad. Includes
bayonet and an extra magazine.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original black finish with limited handling marks. Stock set shows some minor scuffing. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 10,000 - 16,000

Scarce Fabrique Nationale FNC Semi-Automatic Rifle with Box - Serial no. F.N.018809, 223 Rem cal., 16 inch round bbl., black finish, synthetic stock. Introduced in 1979 with very few imported to the United States. Post front and two leaf peep rear sights with an integral rifle grenade launcher and flip-up grenade sight. Two part frame with the standard maker and import markings on the upper along with a spring loaded dust cover and the right handed “S/1” trigger group on the lower receiver. Combination vented metal and ribbed plastic handguard, sling mounts, two position gas regulator, smooth plastic pistol grip, and fixed buttstock. Includes original box and canvas sling. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original black finish with limited handling marks and a few minor scuffs on the buttstock. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with storage and handling marks. Estimate: 4,000 - 6,000
