World War II 1939
German Mauser “S/42”
Luger Semi-Automatic
Pistol Rig with Two Matching
Magazines - Serial no. 9944n,
9 mm cal., 4 inch round bbl.,
blue finish, walnut grips. Blade
front and notch rear sights, with
“1939” on top of the chamber,
a set of “eagle/63” and “droop
wing eagle” proofs on the right,
and “S/42” on the toggle link. A
police-style takedown safety is
installed, but no cuts or alterations
have been made for a magazine
well safety. Matching numbers are
present on the underside of the barrel,
front of the frame, and the left side of
the barrel extension, with partial serial
numbers on the smaller parts; minus
the unnumbered checkered hardwood
grips, this includes the internal parts. Both
included magazines are blued stamped steel with alloy bases,
both marked “”9944/n” and “eagle/63”,
with a proper “+” mark on the spare.
The brown leather holster has a faint
“1941” makers code on the back, with a
takedown tool in the pouch and “GRIFF”
hand signed on the interior.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 95% of the
original blue finish, showing some bright
edges and light handling marks. The grips are also excellent with some dings and dark spots. The holster is a bit scuffed and dry looking, but remains solid with a supple hinge. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,750 - 4,250

World War I DWM 1917 Dated Artillery Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol with Stock, Holster, Drum Magazine
and Loading Tool - Serial no. 6767a, 9 mm cal., 8 inch
round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Blade front and tangent
rear sights, both with fine adjustments, “1917” on the chamber and “DWM”
on the toggle link. A set of “crown/gothic letter” and “Imperial eagle” proofs
are present in the appropriate areas, with matching full and partial numbers
on the appropriate metal parts. Fitted with straw colored small parts and a pair
of checkered hardwood grips. Included with the pistol is a Bing Brothers marked
2nd model drum magazine (note: this is the only magazine in the lot), a Bing marked loading tool, brown leather holster, board stock, takedown tool and a cleaning rod. CONDITION: Very fine, with 75% plus original blue finish, showing bright edge wear, scattered handling marks, and a small amount of spotting. The muzzle crown has turned gray and shows notable pitting. 60% of the original straw color remains, the
rest turned a mixed gray. The grips are fine, slightly oversized with dings and stains. The accessories are very good, with some reproduction parts (the cap for the attaching iron on the revarnished shoulder stock) and mild wear
and staining overall. Mechanically excellent.

World War II Mauser “42/byf ” P.08 Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol Rig with 1942 Dated
Holster and Extra Magazine - Serial no. 1103l, 9
mm cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish, plastic grips. Nicknamed the “Black Widow” Luger by GI’s during
World War II due to appearance. Fixed sights, with
“42” date on the chamber and “byf” manufacturer
code on the toggle. The barrel extension is marked
with a pair of “eagle/135” proofs and an “eagle/
swastika” proof, which is repeated on the barrel and breechblock. Excluding the unnumbered “fxo” magazines and grips, numbers are matching overall. Marked “P.08”
on the side, with a full blue finish and checkered grips. With a black leather holster marked “cww” and “1942”, extra “fxo” magazine, and an unmarked blued
steel takedown tool.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 95% of the original blue finish, showing bright holster edge wear and minor handling
and cycling marks overall. The grips are very fine, with some light nicks along the edges and a few dings on the checkering. The holster is very fine, with some mild scuffs and cracks, along with a hand-scribed number added to the back. Mechanically excellent.

DWM Model 1900 American Eagle Commercial Luger Semi-Automatic
Pistol - Serial no. 18289, 7.65 mm Luger Auto cal., 4 5/8 inch round bbl., blue finish,
walnut grips. Fixed sights, with the American Eagle on the chamber, “DWM” on the
front toggle link, and the following early Luger features: dished toggles with toggle
lock on the right side, recessed breechblock, fast tapered barrel, flat recoil spring, grip safety and no stock lug. The small parts are straw finished, with a pair of finely checkered grips and a nickel finished magazine with a hardwood base. The magazine base is unnumbered, otherwise parts are matching overall. The front of the frame is marked “GERMANY”, appropriate to an import of the era. CONDITION: Fine, with 60% of the faded original blue finish,
showing a mixed brown and gray patina on the grip straps, edge
wear, handling marks and mild spotting. 30% of the original straw
colors remain. The grips are very good, with some dents, wear,
and unidentified residue among the checkering. Mechanically
excellent.
