rubber grips. The included factory letter confirms the current caliber, barrel length, and finish when it shipped to Belknap Hardware & Manufacturing Company in Louisville, Kentucky
on September 13, 1915. Includes a modern burgundy felt lined hardwood case containing an extra set of grips and an
inscription plaque.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 75% original blue finish and
60% original vivid case colors with a smooth brown patina on
the balance. Grips are very fine with crisp checkering and some handling marks on the bottom of each panel. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine with some storage and handling marks. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500

in Los Angeles, California
on September 8, 1910. Includes a lightly tooled brown leather holster. The
accompanying letter of provenance states the revolver and holster purchased
in 2017 from the George Beach de Forest Jr. family. Georg Beach Jr. (1848-1932)
was a prominent New York society, Gilded Age capitalist. His son, George Beach
III, was asked to work on the Manhattan Project in Los Alamos but turned done the offer to work at John Hopkins University where he worked on the proximity fuze, “one of the most original and effective military developments in World War II.” Also includes a paper copy of the plaque with Beach III and the other signatures of the John Hopkins proximity fuze team and family tree.
CONDITION: Fine, retaining 70% original blue finish and 75% original case colors with rotation marks on the cylinder, polish marks on both sides of the grip straps, and a gray brown patina on the balance. Grips are very fine with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Holster is good with handling marks and some flex wear.

Shooter Single Action Army Revolver - Serial no. 149233, 44 WCF
cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, antique ivory grips.
Manufactured in 1893 with the standard one-line address on top of the
barrel, “COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER” on the left and two-line patent dates and
circled Rampant Colt on the left of the frame. Matching serial numbers on the
frame, trigger guard, and back strap and assembly number “214” on the loading
gate. Fitted with a set of attractive smooth antique ivory grips numbered to the revolver. Consignor
notes that the revolver letters as shipped to Laredo, Texas, but we cannot verify at time of description. CONDITION: Good, retains traces of the original blue finish in sheltered areas with the balance mostly
a smooth grey patina with a few scattered patches of light surface pitting. The grips are very good
showing an attractive aged color and a few hairline age cracks in the butts. Lock up and timing need adjustment, otherwise mechanically fine. This Colt Single Action Army has a lot of Old West character!

Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no. 345763, 32 WCF cal., 7 1/2
inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, hard rubber grips. The included factory letter confirms the 7 1/2 inch barrel in .32-20 caliber and blue
finish. It was sold and shipped to Von Lengerke & Antoine of Chicago, IL on January 9, 1925. Standard one-line address on top of the barrel and caliber marking on the left, two-line patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt on the left of the frame, and matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, back strap, and both grip panels. The rear face of the correct period replacement cylinder is numbered “53” which does not correspond to the revolver number “345763”.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% original blue finish and 80% original case colors with handling marks a cylinder drag line, a chip out of the left grip toe, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

War II Colt Single Action
Army Revolver with Presentation Case - Serial no. 349188,
38 special cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened
finish, stag grips. This Colt Single Action Army revolver was
manufactured in 1926. The top of the barrel is marked with the one-line
address, “COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .38 SPECIAL” on the left side and
the left side of the frame is marked with the two-line, three-patent dates
followed by the Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the
frame and on the right side of the front and back strap under the grip. The rear face of the
matching cylinder is stamped with the last three numbers of the serial number, “188”. The
loading gate is marked with the assembly number “908”. Blade front and frame notch rear
sights, blue finish with casehardened frame and hammer, and fitted with two piece stag grips. Complete in a rosewood case with red velvet “French” fitted lining.
CONDITION: Excellent. The revolver retains 95% plus original blue finish with some very minor muzzle wear and some wear and flaking on the back strap, with a brown patina on the exposed metal. The cylinder shows a faint drag line and a few small minor cycling scratches. The hammer and frame retain 98% original bright case colors. The period custom stag grips are excellent. The markings are sharp. Mechanically excellent. The case is excellent few a few minor scratches on the exterior.

cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, hard
rubber grips. Manufactured in 1920 with standard one-line address
on top of the barrel and caliber marking on the left, two-line patent
dates followed by the Rampant Colt on the left of the frame, and
matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, back strap
and each of the grip panels. The rear face of the matching cylinder is
numbered “15”, the las two digits of the serial number. The included
factory letter confirms the 5 1/2 inch barrel in .32-20 caliber and
blue finish when sold and shipped to Momsen, Dunnegan & Ryan
Co., El Paso, Texas on November 17, 1920.
CONDITION: Fine, retaining 70% original blue finish and 50%
original case colors with a brown gray patina on the balance, a
cylinder drag line, and some handling marks. Grips are very fine with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
