Attractive Victorian Era Style Spanish Miniature Suit of 16th Century Style Armor with Stand - This a complete set of miniature armor with shield. This example has a close helmet that features a one-piece skull, pointed visor with eye slit divide at the center and pointed lifting peg on the left, upper and lower bevors with the lower bevor secured by a hook, and breath holes on the upper bevor. Decorated with extensive scrollwork and raised brass double headed eagles representing the Coat of arms of Toledo, Spain. CONDITION: Fine overall with mostly bright metal surfaces, some spots of light surface rust, and crisp scrollwork. A few of the leather straps are torn. An overall attractive miniature suit of armor that would display well in any room! Estimate: 3,000 - 5,000
