  LOT 3429 Factory Game Scene Engraved Isaac Hollis Boxlock Ejector Double Rifle with Case - Serial no. 102605, 9.3x74R cal., 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with ramped blade front sight and flip up 200 yard/ meter marked rear sight and detachable scope claw mounts on the raised rear quarter rib which is marked “I. HOLLIS & SONS. BIRMINGHAM” (“AM” covered by rear scope mount). The rifle has ejectors and has been rechambered in 9.3X74R and reproved in 2010 at the London Proof House. The casehardened boxlock action displays fine floral scroll engraving surrounding “I. HOLLIS & SONS.” on either side and two big cat game scenes, a tiger on the left and a leopard on the right. The rifle features bushed firing pins, double triggers, and an automatic tang mounted safety switch. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings including the Anson button release and pistol grip stock with cheekpiece and engraved grip cap and buttplate. Includes a leather cornered canvas bound takedown case marked with “Q. L. C.” on the lid and green baize interior featuring an Isaac Hollis trade label and a set of scope rings. Length of pull 14 5/8 inches. Weight 10 lbs. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 99% reapplied blue finish with recut markings, smooth, polished silver patina on the lock and buttplate with some softening of the engraving, and light handling evidence. The Anson push button has turned a plum patina. The refinished wood is also very fine with a few scattered light scratches, some slight gaps to the metal, and crisp recut checkering. The case is very good with moderate storage/transport type wear. The right lock does not appear to be cocking, otherwise mechanically fine. Provenance: The Malcolm King Collection. Engraved 20 Gauge Wilhelm Collath Patent Sliding Breech Boxlock Underlever Drilling - Serial no. 11015, 20/9.3x72R gauge, 27 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued Excelsior steel barrels with beaded blade front sight and flip up rear sight, “WITTENER-EXCELSIOR” on both barrels, 3 inch shotgun chambers with single extractor for all barrels, and standard German proofs. The casehardened action features fine scroll engraving, double triggers, rifle/shotgun selector switch, and is marked “PATENT W. COLLATH” and “FRANKFURT A.O.” on the left and right respectively. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with cheekpiece. Includes a leather sling. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 98% reapplied blue on the barrels, traces of the original case colors on the receiver, some light spotting in areas, and mild handling
evidence. The wood is very good with scattered dings and scratches and some worn and some crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,500 - 4,000

Game Scene Engraved Adolf Loscher Over/Under Combination Gun with Zeiss Scope - Serial no. 20537, 16/7x57 R gauge, 23 5/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/ coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1941. Blued steel barrels with beaded blade front and flip up rear sights along with claw style scope mounts on the matted solid rib which is marked “ADOLF LOSCHER HAMM.”, 2 1/2 inch chamber for the shotgun barrel, and choke constriction of .032 inches (full). The coin finished bolstered and scalloped boxlock action features oak leaf engraving along with three ducks and three roe deer on the left and six red deer on the right. Double triggers, cocking indicators, and tang mounted safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with cheekpiece, inscription oval marked “P/C/D”, and serrated hard rubber buttplate. Includes a mounted Zeiss Zielvier scope. Length of pull 14 inches. Weight 8 lbs including scope.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% plus professionally reapplied blue on the barrels, some discoloration in the coin finish, and generally light handling evidence. The stock is also very fine with scattered mild marks, spots of thinning varnish, a small repaired chip on the right stock head, and sharp checkering. Scope optics sharp. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,500
LOT 3432 Abercrombie & Fitch Retailer Marked Engraved Greifelt & Co. Drilling - Serial no. 38586, 12/30-40 Krag gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued Krupp-Laufstahl barrels with beaded blade and flip up rear sights on the matted solid rib which is marked “GREIFELT & CO. SUHL - GERMANY”, barrels marked “ABERCROMBIE & FITCH CO.” and “N.Y.U.S. AGENTS” on the right and left respectively, 70 mm (2 3/4 inch) chambers, and choke constrictions of .053/.050 inches (extra full/extra full). The scalloped boxlock action features sideclips, light engraving, bushed firing pins, Greener style safety, double triggers, and tang mounted safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered walnut forend with Deeley latch release and round knob pistol grip stock with inscription oval marked “W.W.M.”, “MADE IN GERMANY” stock cartouche on the underside, and leather-faced rubber recoil pad. Length of pull 14 5/16 inches. Weight 6 lbs 7 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 99% blue, 90% case colors, minor handling evidence, and some areas of light spotting. The wood is also very fine with a few small scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,500
LOT 3433 Engraved, Inscribed F. Jager & Co. Drilling - Serial no. 12956, 16/7x57 R cal., 26 3/4 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Beaded blade front and flip up rear notch sights on the matte rib marked “F. JAGER & Co. SUHL I/TH.”, with 2 5/8 inch chambers, single extractor, modified/full chokes, claw type scope bases on the rib, light engraving around the breech, and standard German proofs on the underside of the barrels. Receiver features splashes of light scroll engraving with some punch dot texture on top, dual triggers, cocking indicators, Greener style side safety, and tang mounted selector switch. Checkered forearm and pistol grip buttstock with a raised cheekpiece, silver inscription plaque on the left side marked “TO/JOSEPH D. LOWE/FROM J.R. NEWTON/APRIL 1947 N.Y.C.”, an engraved cartridge trap, and checkered horn buttplate. Length of pull is 14 inches. CONDITION: Fine. 90% reblue finish remains on the barrels with numerous small dings, pock marks, sharp markings, and some muzzle wear. The receiver has 75% original case colors with
some light edge wear, sharp engraving, and some spotting on the trigger guard. The bullet trap has been recolored. The wood is also fine. The buttstock has been lightly sanded and oiled with well defined checkering, some small gaps around the joints, and small dings throughout. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500
