Attractive Engraved Antique Deluxe Style Winchester Model 1886 Takedown Lever Action Rifle in .45-70 W.C.F. - Serial no. 97787, 45-70 WCF cal., 24 inch part octagon bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Receiver originally manufactured in 1895, this rifle was subsequently professionally custom upgraded to deluxe configuration and embellished with near full coverage floral scroll and panel scene engraving. The right side of the receiver features flourishes of floral scroll with an elk scene on the left, both surrounded by floral scroll. There is a Winchester oval proof on the receiver ring. It is fitted
with a combination blade/globe front sight and a three-leaf express rear sight and a flourish of floral scroll engraving on the barrel at the breech. Mounted
with a finely figured, “H” pattern checkered, forearm and pistol grip stock with a cheek piece, sling swivel studs, and leather covered recoil pad.
CONDITION: Very fine as professionally custom upgraded to current configuration and engraved, retains 98% plus of the blue and casehardened finishes with only the slightest wear and handling marks. The wood is also very fine with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Attractive Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Short Rifle with Turnbull Invoice - Serial no. 1203058, 30 WCF cal., 20 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. The receiver of this rifle was originally
breech. Winchester factory oval proofs are present on the barrel and receiver at the breech. It is fitted with a globe front sight and a Marble’s filler in the
rear sight dovetail, and a Lyman peep sight is fitted to the upper tang. The three-
line Winchester trademark is on the upper tang and the serial number is on the bottom front of the receiver. It is mounted with a finely figured short rifle-length 2X, “H” pattern checkered forearm and
straight grip stock with a checkered steel shotgun buttplate. The included Turnbull invoice lists the upgrades including the new barrel, 2X wood and checkering, as well as the polishing a finish.
CONDITION: Very fine as professionally upgraded to current configuration, retains 99% plus of the Turnbull applied blue finish and case colors with only the slightest handling marks. The wood is also very fine with only the slightest handling marks and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
