Engraved F.E. Malin Two Barrel Set Side by Side Box Lock Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 78347, 12 gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Both barrels are fitted with single brass bead sights, with the West Melbourne/London address and scroll engraving on the ribs, 1 7/8 inch wedges of scrollwork at the
breeches, ejectors, 2 3/4 inch chambers, improved cylinder chokes, and nitro proof markings on the undersides along with matching serial numbers, “11” on one set and “12” on the other. The casehardened receiver is 95% covered in scroll engraving, with a gold inlaid “SAFE”
marking for the manual safety and dual triggers. Checkered straight grip stock, with teardrop accented flats, an unmarked inscription inlay on the underside and a checkered bare butt. Length of
pull is 14 inches. With a brown leather Malin takedown case with a canvas slip cover.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 98% of the original blue finish, with some light spotting on the barrels. The frame shows good case color with some mild fading. The stock is very good, with mild dents and fine grain. The case shows some minor handling marks and stains. Mechanically very good.

    Factory Engraved Hatfield 20 Gauge London III Hand Detachable Sidelock Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 06SLE222, 20 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with single brass bead front sight on the matted, solid rib, single band of engraving around either breech, 3 inch chambers, and added interchangeable choke system (improved cylinder/modified installed). The casehardened, hand detachable sidelock action features light scroll engraving, “HATFIELD” in banners
on either lock, “London III” in a banner on the bottom, single nitre blue trigger, and tang mounted manual safety switch. Highly figured, multi-point checkered walnut forend with
Deeley latch release and engraved fittings and round knob pistol grip stock with tear drop carved flats and checkered bare butt. Includes a canvas bound takedown case with two snap caps and four extra choke tubes (cylinder, modified, full, and skeet). Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 5/16 inch drop at heel; 15 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 11 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened finishes, limited handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the forend and stock. The case is very fine. LOT 3458 Factory Engraved C. G. Bonehill Sidelock Double Barrel Shotgun - NSN, 12 gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued “NICKEL STEEL” marked barrels with single steel bead sight on the smooth, concave solid rib which is marked “C. G. BONEHILL. MAKER. BIRMINGHAM”, floral engraving at the breeches and rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors, choke constrictions of .011/.042 inches, and London reproofs dated 1992. The casehardened sidelock action features near full coverage English rose & scroll engraving, nitre blue screws, beautifully carved fences, single non-selective trigger, and tang mounted automatic safety switch with gold inlaid “SAFE”. Beautiful,
highly figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and an Anson button release and straight grip stock with teardrop flats, blank inscription oval, and engraved heel and toe plates over the checkered bare butt. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 14 5/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 99% professionally reapplied blue on the barrels, mostly silvered case colors with traces in some of the protected areas, nitre blue screw heads, light handling
evidence, and sharp recut checkering on the stock and forend. The trigger guard has a mottled blue finish with some loss of engraving definition. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,500
bbl., blue/coin finish, hardwood stock. Blued steel barrels with single steel bead sight on the smooth, concave solid rib marked “AYA - AGUIRRE Y ARANZABAL - MADE IN SPAIN”, left barrel marked “’NECG-Claremont NH/16 GAUGE”, standard Spanish proofs, chokes marked “****”/”***” (improved cylinder/modified), and chambers proved at 3 inches with ejectors. The action displays full coverage floral engraving with AYA banners on either side and the underside. The trigger guard, tangs, release leaver and breeches are engraved in the same style. The action features bushed firing pins,
double triggers, and tang mounted automatic safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with Anson button release and engraved fittings as well as a straight grip stock with blank initial oval and checkered bare butt. Includes original factory box. Barrel and stock measurements: bore diameter measured 9 inches from the breech proved and measured 16.9 mm (.665 inches);
choke constriction .009/.015 inches; minimum wall thickness both measures .030 inches; 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 7/16 inch drop at heel; 15 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 7 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes, limited handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the stock. The box is very fine. Mechanically excellent.
