Fausti Signed and Game Scene Engraved Beretta “Giubileo” Over/Under Shotgun with Case - Serial no. GIU543B, 12 gauge, 30 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued Excelsior steel barrels with dual bead sights on the matted vent rib, standard Beretta markings, single band of engraving at upper breech, 76 mm (3 inch) chambers with ejectors, and interchangeable chokes (modified/improved modified installed). The coin finished sideplated boxlock action features extensive floral scroll engraving surrounding shields marked “P. Beretta/Giubileo” on either side, the left sideplate shows a pair of pheasant in flight over a farm field, the right has a pair of mallards over a pond, and the underside has a bust of two retrievers under “BERETTA”. The triggerplate is signed “Bottega C. Giovanelli Fausti”. Single trigger and tang mounted manual safety/selector switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered Schnabel forend with gold shield bearing “PB” and engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with rubber recoil pad. Includes
a factory takedown case, extra walnut buttplate, and three extra choke tubes (full, improved cylinder, and cylinder). Stock and barrel measurements (U/O): bore diameter 9 inches from the bore both marked 18.6 mm (.732 inches) and measured .732/.731 inches; minimum wall thickness .034/.035 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 15 1/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 12 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue and 98% plus coin finishes, minor handling evidence, and a light freckling/spotting on the coin surfaces. The wood is also excellent with a few minor marks, slightly oversize recoil pad, and sharp checkering. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 6,000 - 9,000

barrels with standard markings, 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, choke tube system (improved cylinder/improved modified installed), and standard Italian proofs. Sculpted coin finished action and side plates with full coverage finely detailed rose and scroll engraving, “SPORTING/CLASSICS” marking on the trigger guard, and the trigger plate signed “Bottega C. Giovanelli” for the Giovanelli engraving studio in Gardone, Val Trompia, Italy. With a checkered single trigger and manual sliding tang safety/selector switch. Attractively figured, finely checkered Schnabel tip forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with serrated contrasting walnut buttplate. Includes factory takedown case, three extra choke tubes, and choke tool. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at heel 2 1/16 inches; length of pull 14 1/2 inches. CONDITION: Excellent overall with 99% plus bright original blue finish on the barrels, some scattered slight handling marks, crisp engraving, an area of dark spotting on the right side plate, and attractive grain and sharp checkering on the wood.
