Exceptional Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Saddle Ring .44- 40 WCF Carbine with Factory Box - Serial no. 992146, 44 WCF cal., 20 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1928. Pinned blade front sight and elevation adjustable buckhorn rear sight on a
barrel stamped with the Model 92 legend and “44 W.C.F.” on the left side. Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech. Saddle ring on the left side of the receiver. Three-line trade mark stamped on the upper tang. Smooth carbine stock and forearm. Includes a period correct unnumbered Model 92 .44 WCF carbine box.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% original blue finish with some loss on the buttplate high edges. The wood is also excellent showing only the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with a few
split corners, some water staining and most of the fine end label remaining. This Winchester Model 1892 saddle ring .44 WCF carbine with box would be difficult to improve upon.
