Exceptional World War II U.S. Union Switch &
Signal Model 1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 1073091, 45 ACP cal.,
5 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, plastic grips. In May of 1942 the U.S. government initially placed an order with Union Switch & Signal Co. for 200,000 Model 1911A1 pistols, an order which was later revised to 55,000
pistols. This pistol was likely manufactured 1943. The slide is marked with the “USS” monogram and “U.S. & S. Co./SWISSVALE, PA. U.S.A.” on the left side, with a Robert Downie “R.C.D.” on the left of the frame, and standard
U.S. government nomenclature on the right. It is fitted with blade and notch sights, thin checkered hammer, short stamped trigger, long grip safety, arched checkered mainspring housing with lanyard loop, checkered
grips, full blue “G” marked magazine, and a full blue barrel
marked “HS” and “P” on the lug.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 98% of the original Dulite finish with some scattered small and light specks of surface pitting and a few scattered light handling marks. The grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

U.S. Property Marked World War II Colt Model 1908 Pocket Hammerless Semi-Automatic Pistol with Box - Serial no.
136536, 380 ACP cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1943 with standard markings as well as the rare and desirable “U.S. PROPERTY” marking on the right side of the frame. It is fitted
with blade front and flat top notch rear sights, and checkered grips with Colt medallions. There is a length of copper wire wrapped around the frame and slide through the trigger
guard with a lead seal marked “U.S.” on one side and with an ordnance bomb on the other. This pistols serial number falls very close to another identified General Officer’s pistol,
serial number 136546. Includes a hand numbered to match Kraft style box and an
extra magazine.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 95% plus of the original blue finish with a few scattered small patches of plum patina/very light surface pitting, primarily on the frame just above the trigger. The bottom of the frame around the butt has some repetitive deep nicks that have been touched up with cold blue. The grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with some mild wear and a few tears visible on the seams of the lid.
