U.S. Colt/Drake Mfg. Corp. Model 1911A1
National Match Semi-Automatic Pistol -
Serial no. 866832, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round
bbl., parkerized finish, walnut grips. Originally
produced by Colt in 1944, this pistol frame was
subsequently selected for upgrade to a National Match competition-grade
pistol which was carried out at Springfield Armory in 1964. Only 800 pistols
were upgraded to the National Match configuration that year, all of which
were fitted with the Drake Mfg. Corp. slides, which were specially machined and hardened.
Of these 800 pistols, only 195 would later be sold commercially through the Director of
Civilian Marksmanship, making this National Match variation comparatively scarce. It is fitted with a serrated Patridge blade front sight and Triangle adjustable rear sight on the Drake Mfg. Corp. slide marked “NM7791435”, “7267718/NM” bushing, and “NM 7790313” barrel (numbered to the frame), and a “GHD” frame with “T”, “SA”, “P”, “RIA”, and “NM” stamps. Equipped with a long serrated adjustable trigger, checkered wide hammer, checkered front
strap, arched checkered mainspring housing, checkered grips, and an unmarked parkerized magazine.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 99% plus of the arsenal refurbished parkerized finish with only the slightest handling marks and some light cycling wear. The grips are also excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Semi-Automatic Pistol with British Proofs
and Holster - Serial no. 1644113, 45 ACP cal.,
5 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, plastic grips.
Manufactured in 1944. Fixed sights, with the two-
line, two-block address divided by the Rampant
Colt on the left side of the slide, “G.H.D.”, “P”, and “W/
VP” on the left side of the frame and the property/
nomenclature markings on the right. British proofs
are visible on the frame, slide, and barrel. The pistol
is fitted with a flat-top rear sight, short milled trigger,
wide checkered hammer, long grip safety, checkered
slide stop and thumb safety, arched checkered
mainspring housing, reinforced grips, and full blue
barrel and magazine. Includes a U.S. leather holster.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 95% of the original parkerized finish
with some light edge wear and numerous scattered scratches, scuffs,
and handling marks. The grips are excellent with a few scattered light
blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The
holster is good with moderate wear and heavy oil darkening.

Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 570828, 32 ACP cal., 4
inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1944 with
“U.S. PROPERTY” mark on the right side of the frame. Matching number slide
and frame. Introduced as a commercial pistol, the 1903 was adopted by the
U.S. military after proving a commercial success and became the standard sidearm for General Officers during WWII and still issued into the 1970s. Although this pistols serial number falls in the middle of known General Officer pistols, it is not identified as such (570824, 570826, and 570830 all identified).
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% of the
original parkerized finish with some light edge
wear and some light thinning on the grip
straps. The grips are very good as refinished
and sanded smooth with some scattered light
handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

Model 1911A1 National Match Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 1967860, 45 ACP
cal., 5 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut
grips. Originally produced by Remington-Rand in 1944, this pistol was
subsequently selected for upgrade to a National Match competition-grade
pistol and fitted with a Colt slide numbered to match the frame. Serrated
Patridge blade front sight and Elliason adjustable rear sight, with a Colt “7790314” slide, “7267718/NM” bushing, and “NM 7267717” barrel (also numbered to the frame), and a “FJA” inspected frame with “RIA”, “SA”, “T”, and “NM” stamps. Equipped with a long serrated adjustable trigger, checkered narrow hammer, textured flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop, checkered grips, and an unmarked parkerized magazine.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine as arsenal upgraded to National Match configuration, retains 99% plus of the parkerized finish with a few scattered light handling marks. The grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering.
Mechanically excellent.

U.S. Property Marked World War II Colt Model
1908 Pocket Hammerless Semi-Automatic Pistol
- Serial no. 136350, 380 ACP cal., 3 3/4 inch round
bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1942 in .380 ACP with
standard markings as well as the desirable “U.S. PROPERTY” marking on the
right side of the frame. It is fitted with blade front and flat top notch rear
sights, and checkered grips with Colt medallions. This pistols serial number falls between two identified General Officer’s pistols, serial numbers 136344 and 136361. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 90% plus of the
slightly thinning original blue finish with some
very light grip strap and edge wear and a small
patch of pinprick type pitting on the front right
of the slide. The grips are also excellent with
only the slightest handling marks and crisp
checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 1126388, 45 ACP
cal., 5 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, plastic grips. Manufactured in
1943, during the height of World War II. The left side of the slide is marked
with the two-line/two-block address separated by the Rampant Colt, “G.H.D.”
inspected frame with “X/VP” proof, matching
“P” proofs on the frame and slide, and standard
U.S. property and army nomenclature on the
right of the frame. Fitted with blade and notch
sights, checkered slide catch, thumb safety, and
wide spur hammer, long grip safety, and arched
checkered mainspring housing with lanyard
loop. Fitted with an unmarked parkerized
magazine, full blue barrel marked “COLT 45 AUTO” and “F” on the underside, and reinforced checkered
plastic grips.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 95% plus of the arsenal refinished parkerized finish with some very light edge/ cycling wear and some scattered light handling/takedown marks. The grips are also very fine with light wear and some scattered light blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
