Exceptional U.S.
Colt Army Model
1909 Double Action
Revolver - Serial no. 48162, 45 LC cal., 5 1/2 inch
round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured
in 1911. Fixed sights, with the standard Colt address,
caliber and patent markings on the barrel and the “C”
backed Rampant Colt trademark on the left side of the
frame. The underside of the barrel has the “UNITED STATES
PROPERTY” and “R.A.C.” (Rinaldo Carr) stamps, “WGP” monogram and “R.A.C.” on the right side of the frame, “R.A.C.” on the rear cylinder face and “U.S./ARMY/ MODEL/1909/No/48/162” on the butt around the lanyard swivel. The trigger and the top/back of the hammer are finished in a fine nitre blue, and a set of smooth Carr-inspected grips are installed.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 95% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish and 95%
plus of the original nitre blue with the balance mostly a smooth grey patina, primarily in the form of the light muzzle/edge wear. The grips are very fine with a few minor chips around the bottom edge and some scattered minor dings. Mechanically excellent.

World War I U.S. Colt Model 1911
Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no.
138656, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish,
walnut grips. Manufactured early in 1917 as part of Colt’s first assigned
block for the year. The slide bears the two-line, two-block patent and
address markings on the left side and the army nomenclature on the
right. It has a “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” marked and “GHS” inspected frame. Includes a two-tone pinned lanyard base magazine and a “P H” marked Colt barrel.
CONDITION: Fine, with 60% of the original blue finish, showing some bright edge wear,
a mixed brown patina on the grip straps and mild handling marks. A small ding is present to the left of the ejection port, and a layer of
storage residue is present on the slide and
frame. The grips are also fine, with some dents
and scratches. Mechanically excellent.

U.S. Smith & Wesson Model
1917 Army Double Action Revolver - Serial
no. 84751, 45 ACP cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue
finish, walnut grips. Manufactured 1917-1918.
“UNITED STATES PROPERTY” marked on the underside of
the barrel, flaming ordnance bomb on the frame, eagle
head inspection marks, and matching serial numbers on
the butt, right grip, cylinder, and barrel. This revolver is from the
collection of world famous American country singer and song
writer Hank Williams Jr. and includes a certificate of authenticity
confirming his ownership.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% plus original blue finish, light handling evidence, cylinder drag line, and some wear at the muzzle and front of the cylinder. The grips have a few chips at the bottom edges, otherwise are very fine. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Hank Williams Jr.’s Collection.

5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1911 with fixed sights, standard
Colt address, caliber and patent markings on the barrel and the “C” backed Rampant Colt trademark on the
left side of the frame. The underside of the barrel has
the “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” and “R.A.C.” (Rinaldo A. Carr)
stamps. “R.A.C. is also stamped on the right side of the frame,
the rear cylinder face, and bottom of each grip. “U.S./ARMY/ MODEL/1909/No/34/223” is marked on the butt around the lanyard swivel. This revolver is from the collection of world famous American country singer
and song writer Hank Williams Jr. and includes
a certificate of authenticity confirming
his ownership.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 85%
plus original blue finish, moderate handling
evidence, cylinder drag line, moderate patch of pitting visible on the trigger guard, and a few pressure marks in the otherwise fine grips. Mechanically excellent.

Colt Army Model
1917 Double Action Revolver - Serial no. 131671,
45 ACP cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut
grips. Manufactured in 1917 and shipped in 1918.
Fixed sights, with “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” on the
underside of the barrel, “eagle head/S15” on the left side of
the frame, underside of grips hand-numbered to the gun,
and U.S. army and model marking on the butt along with the
number “131/671”.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 90% plus of the original blue finish with the
balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, primarily on the edges and grip straps and cylinder. The grips are also very fine with a few scattered minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.

from 1960-1965. With a ramped
Patridge blade front and fully
adjustable rear notch sights.
“U.S.” stamped under the model
markings on the left of the frame otherwise standard markings and checkered
contoured grips with inset Hi-Standard medallions. Includes an extra tapered
barrel with barrel weight provisions (one weight included), two extra magazines,
and shipping box with label from the Letterkenny Army Depot in Virginia.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original blue finish with some
scattered light handling marks and light edge wear. The grips are also excellent
with some scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with mild wear and extra barrel is very fine with some light muzzle wear, marks on the bottom, and tape residue. Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500
