Model 1914 Semi-
Automatic Pistol Serial
Number 500 - Serial no.
500, 11.25 mm cal., 5 inch round bbl., black finish, hard
rubber grips. The Norwegian Kongsberg Model 1914 was a
slightly modified copy of the U.S. Model 1911 pistol used by
the Norwegian army. These pistols are nearly identical to the
Colt Model 1911. This Model 1914 features a slide dated “1918” on the right
side. The left side of the slide is marked with the later model 1914 caliber, model, and serial number marking with the Kongsberg Crest and monogram of King Haakon. Inspection mark behind the rear sight. Matching serial numbers found on frame, slide, trigger, safety, mainspring housing, grip safety, ejector, recoil spring guide, barrel, barrel bushing, and slide release. Reportedly, the first gun shipped with the extended slide stop.
CONDITION: Fine, retaining 90% arsenal refurbished black painted finish with handling marks, and corner wear. Grips are also fine with worn checkering, two hairline cracks in the lower diamond on the left panel, and traces of original black varnish remaining in protected places. Mechanically excellent.

hardwood grips. The
Norwegian Kongsberg
Model 1914 was a slightly
modified copy of the U.S.
Model 1911 pistol used
by the Norwegian Army.
These pistols are nearly
identical to the Colt Model
1911. This Model 1914
features an undated slide.
The left side of the slide
is marked with the later
model 1914 caliber, model,
and two digit serial number marking with “SVA” above.
This pistol was manufactured by Skole Og Verkstedavdelingen Army Ordinance Technical School as a training exercise for their armorers in the 1950s. It is one of fifty produced by SVA. Matching serial numbers found on frame, slide, trigger, mainspring housing, and grip safety. Includes informational plaque. This pistol is listed by serial number in “Kongsberg-Colten” by Karl Egil Hanevik on page 148.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 99% plus arsenal blue finish with some handling marks and high edge wear. Grips are very good retaining most of the original black varnish and crisp checkering. Mechanically fine.

bbl., phosphate finish, hardwood grips. The
Norwegian Kongsberg Model 1914 was a
modified copy of the U.S. Model 1911 pistol used by the Norwegian army.
These pistols are nearly identical to the Colt Model 1911. This Model 1914 is
a pattern gun featuring a slide dated “1924” on the right side. The left side of
the slide is marked with the later model 1914 caliber, model, and serial number
marking with the monogram of King Haakon and the Kongsberg Crest. Inspection mark under the date and behind the rear sight. Matching serial numbers found on frame, slide, trigger, safety, mainspring housing, grip safety, hammer, ejector, firing pin stop, magazine catch, recoil spring guide, recoil spring plug, barrel bushing, barrel, and slide release.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% original phosphate finish with thinning to brown on the balance and handling marks. Grips are fine with traces of the original varnish in protected areas and patches of softened checkering. Manual safety needs adjustment, otherwise mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750

round bbl., phosphate finish, hardwood grips. The Norwegian Kongsberg Model 1914 was a slightly modified copy of the U.S. Model 1911 pistol used by the Norwegian army. These pistols are nearly identical to the Colt Model 1911. This Model 1914 features a slide dated “1945” on
the right side. The left side of the slide is marked with the later model 1914 caliber, model, and serial number marking with the Kongsberg Crest and lacks German Occupation markings. Inspection mark behind the rear sight. Matching serial numbers found on frame, slide, trigger, safety, mainspring housing, grip safety, barrel, and slide release. Includes an empty box of Raufoss 11.25mm ammunition
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% original
phosphate finish with handling marks, dings, and
a small spot of light pitting. Grips are very good with spots of softened checkering and dings. The slide lock/release does not engage on an empty magazine, but testing with other magazines resolved the issue. Otherwise, mechanically excellent. The ammunition box is very good with storage and handling marks.

1911 pistol used by the Norwegian army. These pistols are nearly identical to
the Colt Model 1911. This Model 1914 is a pattern gun featuring a slide dated
“1925” on the right side. The left side of the slide is marked with the early model
1914 caliber, model, and serial number marking with the monogram of King Haakon and the Kongsberg Crest. Inspection mark under the date and behind the rear sight. The chamber, slide, and frame are marked with British proofs. Matching serial numbers found on frame, slide, trigger, safety, mainspring housing, grip safety, hammer, ejector, firing pin stop, magazine catch, safety, recoil spring guide, recoil spring plug, barrel bushing, barrel, and slide release.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 95% plus arsenal refinished phosphate finish with handling marks and spots of softened checkering on the refinished grips. Mechanically excellent.
