Antique Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle with Factory Letter - Serial no. 298408B, 44 WCF cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1889 as a
third model with integral dust cover rail and dust cover with serrations at the rear. The accompanying factory letter confirms the octagon barrel in .44 caliber and plain trigger.
The rifle was received in the warehouse on June 27, 1889 and shipped on August 12. The
barrel is fitted with a dovetail blade front sight and an elevation adjustable rear sight and
is stamped with the two-line address/patent dates marking ahead of the rear sight and “44 WCF” at the breech. The cartridge elevator is marked “44 CAL.” The lower tang has the serial number, and the upper tang is stamped “MODEL 1873.” The straight grip stock is fitted with a trapdoor crescent buttplate. Includes a four piece cleaning rod.
CONDITION: Fine as showing authentic use and care, retaining 40% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina and a few patches of pitting on the receiver. The wood is also fine with minor dings and scratches and a stabilized hairline crack near the toe. Mechanically excellent. An authentic Model 1873 for your Winchester or frontier collection.

Documented Montana Shipped Colt First Generation Single
Action Army Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no. 286338, 32
WCF cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, hard rubber grips.
Manufactured in 1906. The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a 5 1/2 inch barrel in .32-20 caliber, blue finish and type of stocks not listed when shipped to Missoula Mercantile Co. in Missoula, Montana on November 22, 1906. The revolver features blade front and notch rear sights with the single line address on top of the barrel, caliber marking on the left of the barrel, two line three date patent marking, and “Rampant Colt in Circle” stamp on the left of the frame. Matching serial numbers are on the frame, trigger guard and back strap. CONDITION: Very good, retaining 30% original blue, and 20% case colors with the balance a smooth gray patina with some scattered dings and handling marks. The grips are good with softened checkering and a few minor dings. Mechanically excellent.
