Collector’s Lot of Two Colt Open Top Pocket Model
Revolvers -A) Factory Engraved Colt Open Top Pocket
Revolver - Serial no. 40745, 22 RF cal., 2 3/8 inch round bbl., nickel finish,
walnut grips. Manufactured in 1874. Factory engraved with intertwining line
patterns on the barrel and cylinder with a flower on both sides of the frame and
punch dot accents. Standard features including matching serial numbers and hand-
numbered grips. The Open Top Pocket Model was one of Colt’s first two cartridge revolvers and debuted in 1871 along with the Colt House revolver.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% plus original nickel
finish with some light edge wear and some light flash
pitting at the breech area. Grips are fine with some light
handling marks and dents, and light crazing towards the bottom edges.
Mechanically excellent. B) Colt Open Top Pocket Revolver - Serial no. 103566,
22 RF cal., 2 3/8 inch round bbl., nickel finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1877.
Standard markings and features including matching
serial numbers and hand-numbered grips.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 90% original nickel finish with some mild muzzle wear and
and some light wear at the breech. Grips are also very fine with some scratches around the left screw and bottom of the right grip, a dent on the bottom rear of the right grip, and light crazing towards both bottom edges. Mechanically excellent.

Collector’s Lot of Two Colt Pocket Third Model Derringers
-A) Colt Derringer with London Proofs - Serial no. 42107, 41
RF cal., 2 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/nickel finish, walnut grips. Manufactured
from 1875 to 1912. Standard markings and features with London crown
proofs underneath the barrel and matching hand-numbered grips.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 70% original high polish blue finish on the barrel with some scattered small patches of light pitting. 95% original nickel
finish on the brass frame with some very light edge wear. Grips
are also very fine with some light handling marks and light
crazing towards the bottom edges. Mechanically excellent.
B) Colt Derringer with Pearl Grips - Serial no. 19906, 41 RF cal., 2 1/2 inch
round bbl., nickel finish, pearl grips. Standard markings and features with
pearl grips. Both grip panels are matching numbered “06” underneath.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 80% original nickel finish with some light edge wear and light scattered flaking mainly concentrated on the left side of the barrel. Grips are also very fine with some light handling marks and highly attractive colors. Mechanically excellent.

cal., 2 3/8 inch round bbl., nickel finish, antique ivory grips. Manufactured in
1875. Standard markings and features including matching serial numbers. The
Open Top Pocket Model was one of Colt’s first two cartridge revolvers and debuted in 1871 along with the Colt House revolver.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 90% original nickel finish with some very light frosting on the barrel and straps, and some light flaking on the front edge
of the cylinder. Grips are also very fine with some light
cracking around the screws. Mechanically excellent.
B) Colt Open Top Pocket Revolver - Serial no. 69864, 22 R
cal., 2 3/8 inch round bbl., blue/bright finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in
1875. Standard markings and features including matching serial numbers.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 70% plus original high polish blue finish with some
scattered flaking mainly concentrated on the cylinder, and a pleasing aged patina on the brass frame. Grips are very fine with some light handling marks and light crazing towards the bottom. Mechanically excellent.

The underside of the barrel
proofmarks, the second covering the first number of the matching serial number. The frame has some light floral scroll engraving on each side, a small floral spray in front of the hammer, and a small scroll behind the hammer. “41 CAL” is stamped just under the barrel latch. Both grip panels are numbered
to the gun. With casehardened checkered hammer and spur trigger. Includes hardwood case with W. Watson & Son of London paper label, four compartments, cleaning rod/screwdriver, and six rounds of 41 Rimfire ammunition.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 75% retailer refinished blue and 85% silver with handling marks, some specks of light pitting visible on the frame. Grips are fine with half of the varnish and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine as well with some minor storage and handling marks. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500

Collector’s Lot of Two Colt Derringers
-A) Colt New Line .41 Caliber Revolver - Serial
no. 716, 41 RF cal., 2 1/4 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened
finish, rosewood grips. Manufactured in 1874 with a round
German silver blade front sight, the two-line barrel address on top, groove rear sight, “41 CAL” on the left side below the cylinder, and matching serial numbers.
CONDITION: Very fine with 80% plus
original blue and 70% vibrant case
colors, mild oxidation primarily on the
front of the cylinder, moderate rotation and
edge wear, and gray patina along the grip straps. The
grips are also very fine with glossy varnished finish, mild
edge and handling wear, and some light dings. Mechanically excellent. B) Colt New Line .41 Caliber Etched Panel Revolver - Serial no. 3703, 41 Colt cal., 2 1/2 inch round bbl., nickel finish, hardwood grips. Manufactured in 1876 with a round German silver blade front sight, the two-line barrel address on top, groove rear sight, Rampant Colt stamp on top left frame, “COLT NEW 41” on the left of the barrel
in an etched panel, and matching serial numbers.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 90% plus of the original
nickel finish with scattered light flaking showing a
smooth grey patina and crisp etched panel. The grips are
very fine with some scattered light dings and scratches.
Mechanically excellent.
